Mid Winter

In the bleak midwinter, frosty wind made moan,
Earth stood hard as iron, water like a stone;
Snow had fallen, snow on snow, snow on snow,
In the bleak midwinter, long ago.

  2. Brrr - very cold looking but beautiful nonetheless. I also enjoy Rossetti's poetry

  3. There's a very romantic feel to your post today, Dave, romantic as in idealized. Perhaps it's the effect of the poetry, perhaps it's the image of the people walking together in the snow.

  7. Dave,

    That looks very nice and cold ... I'll swap you for our 30 degrees and 90% humidity.

  8. You're right, everyone likes pictures, especially when they're this beautiful.

    For some reason, these scenes remind me of a book I once read by Louisa May Alcott, Phoebe, I think the book was called.

    Rosetti captures it well, doesn't she?
