Bobby Mcgee - Janis Joplin

This song has been going round and round in my head all week. Originally by Janis Joplin but probably made popular by Kris Kristopherson. Janis's life like many other hugely talented people ended too early.

  1. I've always loved the voice of Janis Joplin. She was one of a kind. (By the way, to answer your question, yes I did the marathon this year. It was a fun day, but I'm glad it's over!)

  2. She truly was "one of a kind" because we've never had another.

So sad that many of the talented and awesome people die too young.

    LoL:Wanda

  4. She was incredible wasn't she.
On a loosely connected theme of talent. I have a couple of tickets to see Leonard Cohen in a fortnight :-)

  5. Janis Joplin no one else can ever replace her voice, I love all of her songs. You got good taste Dave!

  6. I loved that song too. She certainly had a unique singing voice. It's so sad when talent like that gets lost in the world of drugs.

  7. Kris wrote the song but no one will ever sing it the way Janis "Pearl" Joplin did.
