Austrian transport

Posted by Picasa
Yes we had a holiday in Austria and the previous post was of Mozart's home in Saltzberg.
They like their bikes in Austria and there are cycle tracks verywhere, unfortunately though I did get to go on any.
A beautiful place, fantastic scenery and so clean and tidy that sometimes it seems unreal. But comparing everyday prices in Austria, Britain has got to be the cheapest place in Europe, ......if only we had the weather!!!
Its interesting that Alice in the previous post comments said the food was terrible, as I did'nt think so. But thats probably because us Brits are not reknowned for our cuisine and Alice is French.

  1. Having lived in Austria for a few years, and being French myself, I didn't find the food that horrible! I like the second shot, I'd love to whizz to work in that!

  3. Austria, what a beautiful country! You must have had a lovely time. (I have to say I really liked the food when I was there. Amazing pastries!) That is a cool looking vehicle in the second shot.

  5. What is that a three wheeler truck? Never seen one before, looks rather cute though.

  6. I like the picture with the nice bike path. I envy that you can dash all over Europe. How cool.

  7. Oops...close, but no cigar! I should have recognized it.

I've gotta say, Dave, that I love Austrian food, which is very similar to what I ate growing up, what I learned to cook and how I cook now!

My mother was a pastry artist...her desserts were fabulous!
