Stamford

Posted by Picasa

I found this old picture when we moved. I took it in about 1976 on an old Russian camera called a Zorki, which was a copy of the Leica. Stamford has an interesting history, read more about it here.

  1. What a cool picture! You know it's hard for those of us in the colonies to imagine a town that old.

  3. What beautiful architecture in Stamford. I wonder how it has changed over the years. You were a good photographer even back then!

  4. Wow, I love this photo! In my mind's eye, this is how I see the ancient towns in the UK. It's interesting that you loved photography, with quite a developed eye, way back in 1976.

You didn't say whether you still had the Zorki. I still have the very first Brownie I received as a gift for my birthday...a zillion years ago!
