The Tour of Britain comes to Caerphilly

Bradley Wiggins being paced up the mountain by Ian Stannard

I think that the team cars and motor cyclists have more fun than the riders in the tour.

Not sure who this rider is, but to pull a wheelie going up a 10 to 15% incline is no mean feat.

Thousands gathered on the mountainside and in the town for thefinish of the stage from Machynleth to Caerphilly.  Luckily the rain had stopped.
They had ridden over 100 miles before they got here in pouring rain,  and then had to do two  5 mile laps of the town and mountain before they finished.

We only did 35 miles!!!!!!!!!!

Just out for an evenings cycle ride and stumbled across this.  What a lovely way to see the countryside on a late summers evening.

For such a small city Newport has a fair collection of bridges...not as many as Newcastle though!!
