Some wildlife

Forest Farm Nature Reserve

Always a good stop off on a ride into Cardiff.

Blue Tit and female Sparrow

 Great Tit

Reed Bunting ?? [female]

He's always a regular visitor at these feeders, and why not with all the free food.

The Taf

In the distance you can see the gap carved by the Taf, with Castle Goch to the right

  1. Oh yes, Spring is just around the corner alright! Lots of welcome signs of change in the countryside now.

Good stuff as usual Dave, love the bird shots and the crisp and narrow depth of field (I'm old, it's depth of field, I gather it's called Bokeh nowadays...)

Did you feel the earthquake yesterday at all? I was in the shower so missed it, but it was felt down here as well apparently.

    1. Mick, the spring flowers in Cornwall are probably more advance than those here. I missed the earthquake and didn't know about it until I saw it on the news.

    1. Sondra, very pleased with the camera, but as I said its a compromise, but I'll use it a lot. Yes it was a fair quake, apparently the epicentre was about 45 miles away and lies on a fault line, and this coupled with old mine workings in the area caused the shaking. My son felt it and the movement made him go and have a look as he thought something had fallen over.
