Cycle club BBQ

Posted by Picasa
Here are some of the members enjoying themselves at our annual BBQ.
Its amazing that the guy who puts in on always manages to find a sunny day, and thats not easy. A great day out, a nice ride there, good company and good food.

Port Eynon

Posted by Picasa

The rocky seascape around Port Eynon, is almost lunar, and the two caves seem to give the cliff a facial feature.
The sunny weather brought out the camping side of me, so it was great to get away for a few days.

Giant cake.

This is the main pavilion for the National Eisteddfod which is coming to Cardiff in August, it hasn't been to Cardiff for many years.
The eisteddfod is probably Wales's oldest cultural event, it's held annually but at a different location each year.

Newport

These are a couple of pictures from the Newport Riverside area. Like many other cities where there is a waterfront and docklands its being redeveloped, although I suspect the rate of development will have slowed down a bit due to the economic situation. I read somewhere the other day that 40% of people employed on house building have been laid off.

I'm back

Hi all I am back, but then the computer decided to die on me, so pro temp untill my new one arrives I am running with my daughters old laptop. It was an old computer, but did what I asked of it so maybe it was time to up date anyway.

I had the most fantastic week of cycling, great company, wonderful rides and stunning scenery. I will post you a couple of pictures but when all the pictures are on the clubs website I'll leave the link so you can have a look if you want.

Here are some of the group dipping their wheels into the sea at the start of the ride.

I am having problems uploading pictures so will post some more later.
