We had a trip down to the West Country and met up with my daughter.
The rain has been so bad that decent photographs were out of the question, so I "borrowed" this one from the net, as it shows the town in a much better light.
At least there are no floods here, but a hundred miles further north they are still having huge problems.
Welcome home DaveM. It's just not the same around this blogsphere when you're gone.
ReplyDeleteYou borrowed well for this photo is pretty.
Hello Davem. Glad to meet another Cardiff boy. I was born there and lived near Swansea for a few years. My mother lived out on Gower.
ReplyDeleteAnnie, thank you and also for comforting comment in the previous post.
ReplyDeleteLorenzothellama, so where abouts where you born then?..... by here, or over by there???? We have connections in Morriston and Carmarthen and also aound the Brandy Cove area.
I was born over by there in Whitchurch! My mother and father used to do their 'courting' on top of the Wenalt (spelling?) and they got married in St Tilo's Church.
ReplyDeleteMy father and brother both went to Cardiff University, although we were living in Colchester by then. My bother played rugby for the University and is a fluent Welsh speaker, look you.
My nephew lives in Cardiff too.
Brandy Cove hey? I know it well.
Not much brandy about these days though.

Glad to see you back, Dave. Hope you had a relaxing visit - and now can get busy and get that house sold - so you can get on with your plans.
