These birds are resident at the Wildlife and Wetlands Trust at Slimbridge nr Gloucester. They are not native to the UK and live in pens with heated shelters. My tongue in cheek comment about them was because 2012 was the wettest year ever recorded in the UK. Sorry for any confusion.
Oh they are beautiful..the color so rich..usually they look light pink. They must really like it there.
