35 years

Posted by Picasa
What were we like 35 years ago?
This stemmed from comments on Jackies Blog. The picture is from a party in 1972, and it was a very serious discussion, the party was running low on drinks.
I will post another picture of the same two later, 35 years on.

Taunton

Posted by PicasaWe had a trip down to the West Country and met up with my daughter.
The rain has been so bad that decent photographs were out of the question, so I "borrowed" this one from the net, as it shows the town in a much better light.
At least there are no floods here, but a hundred miles further north they are still having huge problems.

Staying put for a while.

We shall have the pleasure of the windows for a while longer as our house buyer pulled out at the last minute. Everyone in the chain were all set for the 25th of this month, when he phoned his solicitors on Wednesday to tell them. Some people have no integrity.

However any uncertainty is now over and the house back on the market. On a scale of one to ten in world disasters it doesnt score highly and there are far worse things happening.

I shall be away for a few days. Cheers.

Windows

Posted by Picasa
The stained glass pictures in Annie's blog were the prompt for me to post these pictures.
I mentioned a few posts back that we were in the process of moving , well we have finally got an agreed date, and I have been busy taking pictures of the house as a reminder. These are some panels in the front windows. When we saw these nearly 30 years ago they were one of the reasons why we knew that this was the house.
All the other sound economic reasons against buying it were quickly forgotten.

How green are you?

Just been looking through some old pictures and came across this.
Its my "folding, ride anywhere" bike and I have just been to the supermarket.
Its quicker than taking the car.......honest.

One for sorrow...........

One for sorrow,Two for joy,
Three for a girl,Four for a boy,
Five for silver,Six for gold,
Seven for a secret
Never to be told.
Where did that washing line come from????

All alone

Posted by Picasa
Thre are not many of these traditional pubs left. The Vulcan stands alone in an area scheduled for redevelopment. Maybe once the new apartments have been built it will have a new lease of life, but not in the same format I bet.

Courts of Justice

This may be familiar to some as it's on the Courts of Justice in Cardiff. Ironically the jail is just across the road.
