I'm sure they will have made a good supply ready for the final Six Nations rugby match in Cardiff today.

Roath Park

Cardiff's most popular park still retains a classic Victorian atmosphere and boasts a wide variety of facilities. The park has recently been awarded the prestigious Green Flag award. This recognises the high quality of Roath Park and its importance to Cardiff. Roath Park is full of historic and horticultural interest, with widely diverse environments across the park.
A 30 acre lake is formed in the park by the damming of the Nant Fawr stream. It is a popular facility for fishing and rowing. Other elements of the park include superb floral displays, the famous conservatory and high quality recreational areas.

Ever heard of the Treorchy male voice choir? Well this is where they are from.

I cycled this route today, and with the sun on the hills its a really beautiful place.

I appreciate having it more or less on my doorstep.

Cornish pasties

You don't have to travel all the way to Cornwall just for a pastie. Are those barriers for crowd control at lunchtimes?

Mike

Mike is 78....going on 79!!

Certainly a role model in the club. He is no slouch either when he's cycling he makes a fast pace, and can keep it going for a days riding.

When he was 73 we cycled 1000 miles in 2 weeks. Lets hope I'm like him at that age.

The Cotswolds

Back from a glorious weekend cycling the lanes of the Cotswolds.

The top picture is typical of the villages and hamlets in this area, all beatifully kept or restored to their original state. It's a very affluent area with many using it as a base to work in London.
