Chester [2]

Posted by Picasa
Chester is served by both the river Dee and the Shropshire Union canal.  In the top picture you can see how the sandstone rock  was carved to make the canal, and the houses were built right up to the edge.

  2. Has that river ever rose high enough to reach to the top of those brick walls of those houses there?

  3. How beautiful...I would sit on the bank and watch it flow for hours!

    Have a great weekend, Dave!
