Rivers run red......

.........well , with iron anyway.  With lots of old iron workings around this area this spring water has turned the immediate area red with iron oxide.

  2. We have a lot of rust in our water too - naturally. One has to use special cleaners to get it off tubs, sinks etc. A pretty little creek Dave.

  3. Oh, that rust...it seems that our well is full of it! It colours all my clothes, my hair is turning orange as well, heh, heh! And our well water is treated as best as we can!

    Vinegar works sometimes. I use it on the bathroom fixtures and on my hair but sometimes, only really special cleaners will work. I worry about the pollution caused by those cleaners, though.
