After the walk we were lucky, well surprised even, to find that this was happening in the pub at half past three on a Sunday afternoon. He was very good, and it could have been a time when you would have liked to stay for more. But we didn't.
What a wonderful snapshot of a pub with the dartboard, the flag (is that the St George's lion?), the tables, the banners. You couldn't stay? Had to do some chores? Needed more walking?
I laughed at your comment about how a little exercise would keep the bonnet cookies off my hips. I know. I'm actually quite slim and fit.

Annie, you will never be allowed into Wales. That flag is the Welsh Dragon. [Y Draig Coch]
ReplyDeleteSt. George is the patron saint of England
I love those kind of unexpected surprises.
ReplyDeleteHi Kat, good to hear from you. Yes they are the best, but sometimes you cant make the most of them.
ReplyDeleteA cup of tea is just what I would have required after a walk across that bridge. More than a foot off the ground, and I get dizzy, lol!
