On my Blog, I show to you the “Right Street”, one of the principal streets of Martel. Cavity it is very except right-hand side, it turns in all the directions. Also have in your city, of the streets with a name in contradiction with the street? (Street example of the restaurants without any restaurants). Good Day My blog photographs on the town of Martel
In fact I stepped on one once barefoot, and that has been my memory until today....when you, with your photo, make the snail look beautiful...Little snail.
Your photo presents a little miracle, DaveM. Pretty creature when the house is on its back - rather unattractive, by human standards anyway, when he leaves his home behind.
November 11 in US is Veteran's Day here, celebrated similarly to Memorial Day. The difference, as I understand it, between the two days is that Memorial Day memorializes those who died in battles/wars and Veteran's Day honors those who served, living yet or not.
Here in the US we often collapse the meanings and honor all on both days.
I'm with Wanda, Dave, I think you made that little guy look beautiful. But I don't like them! Can't get rid of that 'trail' if you get it on you...and they eat my plants!
He might make it to the beach by the end of the year but after seeing the sea around Cardiff he is better off in the garden. We have many snails because of the old garden walls which are ideal hiding places for them. Yes he/ she is obviously very house proud with a shiny house like that. The gypsy of his world? It was only when I enlarged it did I realise the detail on the little fellow. I know the feeling when you step on one although I haven't done it with bare feet.
The detail on that is amazing. My son said "euugh, it looks all sticky".
ReplyDeleteI wonder if it is trying to find his way to the beach?

Nice disgusting picture.
ReplyDeleteGreat photography, Dave! I am trying to learn more about taking close-ups. I have a new camera, and am having some difficulties adjusting to it, lol!
ReplyDeleteI would love to be able to capture the miniature world that is so evocative and beautiful.

ReplyDeleteThat is a great close up picture of that garden snail.
ReplyDeleteI think snails are cool as long as I don't step on one bare footing!
Slugs are also neat too, "Hey what can I say? I'am still a tomboy even at my age!
Is that my lettuce he's heading for?
