The park is built on the site of an old quarry, the lakes are very deep.
During the weekends and bank holidays the helpers dress up in in period costume.

Kids just love these!

The pig sty

The village straddled what was then the main road, so was a popular stopping off place for a nights sleep and no doubt a few beers.

This reconstructed medieval village is about 8 miles out of Cardiff and well worth a visit. Entry is free but the guided tour [£2.50 ] is well worth it.
I would love that.

ReplyDeleteThe closest we get to anything like that is a 'Renaissance Faire'. Fun, but hardly realistic.
