A ride above the clouds

A very misty start to the ride, low cloud and no sun.

Then as we rode the major climb of the day we came out of the mist.

to sunshine and stunning views.

Riding up and down the hills the temperature drops between was a good example of temperature inversions, so for some it was jackets on jackets off.

But Sue below, had a fall towards the end of the ride and was concussed so had to be taken to hospital for a CT scan.  Luckily all was OK.

  7. You have to be on the look out all the time Sondra as when you're riding in a group things can happen quickly and you have to react. Looking back on Sue's incident it didn't appear to be a heavy fall yet she was concussed, so it just goes to show that you need to be aware of just cant take chances. As a club thats affiliated to a major cycling organisation we then had to submit an accident report.
