Hi Annie thanks for this an interesting article. I was cycling through Builth Wells about 3 weeks ago so am reasonable familar with the area. There are lots of remote homes around that area, as its a beautiful part of Wales. Have you heard of a book called " On the Black Hill" by Bruce Chatwin? Try and get hold of it as it describes that area so well. Its based on a true story of 2 brothers who live and work on a remote farm. I think you will like it. You can always use the "contact me" on the front of the blog.
My oh my, I do want to come see these more closely.
