Crocus

Posted by Picasa
Wikipedia..............Crocus (plural: crocus, crocuses) is a genus of perennial flowering plants native to coastal and sub alpine regions of southern Europe.
Like all flowers, and for me especially the Spring flowering ones, its a pleasure to see them. These were in Bute Park.

  1. It looks like spring already! I haven't seen any crocuses here yet. They are always such a cheerful color.

  2. I will have to go outside to see if I can find any crocus in my yard. I don't think they've shown their little noses yet. But I do see some green stalks of Japanese iris. No buds yet, but they will come. The first sigsn of sring are about 3 weeks away, I think.

  4. Our crocus hasn't even starting to bud yet...perhaps just been too wet and cold yet for anything much to bloom.
